I am trying to subscribe to a plan, and I get this message instead of being able to sign up:

Even though this issue should be resolved, please try upgrading again through a different browser or a private browsing window.

I am trying to link a Paypal account to my payment options. After selecting "Paypal" and entering in the country and bill zip, I select "Save" and I get a "Oops. Something went wrong" message. I tried this process in Firefox and Chrome, but the process is the same. I will say my Paypal account does have a different email address attached to it. Maybe this is causing the problem? Is it possible to get the 2 accounts to sync?

Hello Megan,
Thank you for the reply. I am pretty sure I am entering in the information correctly. There is only a set of radio buttons, one to select by with credit card, the other to pay via Paypal. When I select Paypal, it has a pulldown menu for Country and an entry box for zip code. The last options are Cancel and Save.
I logged back in to see if potential I had missed anything...and now everything has gone wrong. I no longer have any option for billing. There is no where to enter in any billing options. If I try to "renew" or "upgrade" a plan, it will send me to the Plan landing page, and then I have a message saying "Your plan and billing information are managed externally" . I have tried logging in via Firefox and Chrome on my PC. I also tried via my phone. Same results.
This is quite different from yesterday, in which I had the option to add a credit card and/or Paypal. I was not receiving any "managed externally" popups. I have paid for this plan for 4 or 5 years now. So I am not sure why it is saying it is managed externally. I have attached a few screenshots.

My subscription plan connected with an Indian card gets cancelled every month! While trying to resubscribe, I keep getting the error message "Your plan and billing information are managed externally" but there is no place for me to update my payment information. I recently read that Dropbox is accepting UPI payments - how can I set that up?

This is getting to be a huge problem for my business. My drop box is not syncing and I cannot resolve it. When will drop box have a solution. I am happy to pay for the upgrade/renewal but it will not let me and there does not seem to be a work around. I never got any messages that this was happening, no notice that I was running out of storage or I had to renew. Nothing.

I am trying to upgrade my storage space and every time I get an error that says "my account is managed externally" I click upgrade and it won't even let me put in my credit card information, it automatically reverts me to the Subscriptions Management page with that message. My shared folders from work have stopped syncing and I need to view updates from a coworker so How do I get more storage space?

Could you clear your browser's cache or try another browser or an incognito window and let us know if you still get the same error?

Previously i paid through UPI payment and opted for auto renewal but the payment was failed and now i can't see the UPI in the payment portal. When i enter the payment portal it says "My payment was managed externally" screenshot attached.
Since dropbox plays a crucial role for my work i tried to change the payment from UPI to Credit card now it shows popup "You can't update your billing information because Credit card doesn't support none currency."

I was able to fix this by Upgrading through the Dropbox iPhone App. I believe that the iTunes/Apple Store is what managed my account externally.

I am frustrated by facing this error while re-subscribing/upgrading my plan to dropbox plus. I tried all the options mentioned on community forum like trying to re-subscribe from different browser/incognito mode/by changing email address. Also, I couldn't find payment method in billing section to change it as per one of community answer. I did chat with support twice. Both of them couldn't help. I need to work on dropbox files urgently. Can someone from support look into this matter and help me to resolve this.
